Off Season

I just finished Jack Ketchum's Off Season. Evidently, this was the uncut version...although I never read the original version, I guess it had a lot of stuff cut out. It was thoroughly violent, nasty, appalling...right up my alley.  I liked it.  Not the most sophisticated writing technique, but it was about a family of cave-dwelling, incestuous cannibals.

I'm not sure what's next.  I have so many lined up here.  I think maybe I'll go with Ghost Road Blues by Jonathan Maberry.

I haven't read the Ketchum novel yet but I wholeheartedly endorse Mayberry's Ghost Road Blues.

You're lucky because it's the first in a trilogy so you'll be able to go straight to Dead Man's Song for the second helping instead of wating a year.

The final installment, Bad Moon Rising, will be out in May.

Good stuff.
