2008....

So, here it is 2008...I have completely neglected this thing for several months now and I have resolved (among various other ridiculous things) to get back to it after a rather lame attempt at cataloging the books I've been reading.  One of my goals is to read 50 books in 2008 (and actually keep track).  I don't think this will be any great feat, as I think I usually read at least that many in a year, but the actual keeping track is the trick.  I've never really done it before and succeeded.  I always seem to forget.

Right now (well, not actually right this very minute) I'm reading The Mask of Atreus by A.J. Hartley.  So far, so good.

Also, today I had an adventure with my newly cleaned and tuned-up sewing machine.  I made a bed for my cats out of the leftover felt from my Halloween costume.  There was quite a lot of leftovers, due to the fact that my mom suggested I buy three yards of the stuff and it turned out I only needed about a yard.  So the cat bed is really big enough for a small dog, but then again, a couple of my cats are almost bigger than spaniels.

The sewing skills definitely need work.  But the cats seem to like the bed.  I guess they don't care too much if my stitches are uneven.
